Igudes­man & Joo will be giv­ing their “8 to 88” work­shops at UCLA’s Schoen­berg Hall at 5pm on Octo­ber the 14th [link] and SOLA Music Acad­emy at 9am on Octo­ber the 15th [link] while in Los Ange­les,  Cal­i­for­nia. The unique work­shop is designed for musi­cians who wish to widen their hori­zons and their approach to cre­at­ing, learn­ing, rehears­ing, and per­form­ing music. “8 to 88” explores and encour­ages musi­cians to be more open to often-ignored and less-practiced aspects of music mak­ing, which may include impro­vi­sa­tion, chore­og­ra­phy, the­atri­cal­ity, psy­chol­ogy of per­for­mance, stage man­ner and pre­sen­ta­tion, incor­po­rat­ing dif­fer­ent musi­cal styles, and, of course, humor. Musi­cians are invited to bring their own instru­ments and are encour­aged to bring their com­po­si­tions, sketches (musi­cal or the­atri­cal), and share “hid­den talents”.

Igudes­man & Joo were seen in Rus­sia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kaza­khstan, Latvia, Esto­nia, Lithua­nia, Uzbek­istan, Kyr­gyzs­tan and all the 250 mil­lion peo­ple, which can receive: “Rus­sia Chan­nel One -Первый Kанал” They per­fomed in the most pop­u­lar “Big Dif­fer­ence” TV show, with leg­endary Russ­ian come­di­ans.
